to protect the CHANEL brand and support business in APAC Manage management expectations through influencing and supporting Key Business Stakeholders, aligning brand protection efforts with business activities and needs Develop working relationship with enforcement authorities, internal as well external key stakeholders Keep up to date with new brand protection trends and best practices, and develop innovative / agile counter strategy Lobby the government and enforcement authorities to protect Chanel’s interests Train internal as well as external stakeholders to build a culture that respects and protects Chanel’s intellectual property rights Support global / regional / local brand protection teams Manage external service providers to implement and execute anti-counterfeit and brand protection work Role Specifications Academic / Professional Qualifications Qualified lawyer in Hong Kong or another common law jurisdiction with outstanding academic achievements from a top university Work Experience Minimum of 8 years PQE with extensive legal knowledge and experiences in all aspects of complex intellectual property prosecution, litigation and enforcement work including anti-counterfeiting strategies and enforcement of intellectual property rights, with a particular focus in the protection of Trademark, Copyright, Anti-Unfair Competition and Design Patents, gained from top international law firms and in the luxury retail industry Legally trained and practiced in a top law firm for at least 3 years
