Responsibilities
The candidate will work with the Asia Pac ESG research team developing investment strategies and trends to be published in research reports.
Help in the implementation of new research ideas using backtesting and time-series analysis.
Identify quantifiable ESG metrics to assist with alpha generating ideas.
Proactively automate processes and find programming solutions to assist with research workflow
Responsible for conducting quantitative analysis of ESG Data.
Requirements
The successful candidate must be highly analytical, numerate and detailed minded
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or similar analytical field.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
Experience coding in Python, VBA, SQL, and Microsoft Office
Experience working with third-party data vendors (FactSet, Bloomberg, Thomson-Reuters / Refinitiv) would be an advantage
Experience working with large and unconventional data sets and in back testing investment strategies
Has an interest in finding solutions to analytical problems using out-of-the-box methods, with a passion for automation
Proven ability and willingness to work as a member of a team
The position in located in Sydney or Hong Kong
