  • Support the Group’s strategic direction and roadmap for lending Ops, aligned with country Business Strategy and investment appetite.
  • Attend and finish internal and external training to be skilled and qualified for the job.
  • To work closely with GBS and other CJs team to make end to end process run smoothly.
  • Business

  • To supervise the Transaction Execution team to provide routine agency services for syndication loans and debt securities
  • To act as checker and be responsible for all operational actions and activities for the whole team to ensure all actions completed on time without issue.
  • To assist Team Head and Manager, Transaction Execution to continuously review / fine tuning process and procedure to improve the unit efficiency in term of cost, productivity and service standard.
  • To ensure agreed objectives are achieved or exceeded.
  • To coordinate with different SCB branches to provide agency services in prearranged locations.
  • To ensure terms and conditions in different agreements are followed and services are delivered.
  • To ensure actions taken fulfil legal and regulatory requirements.
  • To ensure all settlements and asset bookings are performed in accordance with pre-arranged procedures.
  • To liaise with borrowers, issuers, lenders, investors, lawyers, auditors and other professionals to ensure issues arisen are properly handled
  • To ensure policy and procedures are followed and issues arose are reported and escalated.
  • To provide accurate and timely information for individual account assigned.
  • To train and develop colleagues in the department
  • To resolve any problem / issue raised by the team members
  • To assist Team Head and Line Manager to implement initiatives / projects agreed and to provide Subject Matter Expert support when required.
  • Risk Management

  • Proactive in seeking regular assurance that the L&A is performing to an acceptable risk and control standard as per the defined Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
  • Maintain strong lines of communication with GBS team through an effective communication process.
  • Act quickly when any risk and control weakness become apparent and escalate to function head at the first time.
  • Governance

  • Support function head with appropriate governance metrics; ensure operational risks are retained within the appropriate risk tolerance.
  • Embed the Group’s values and code of conduct. Support to develop a robust culture to ensure adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations
  • Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.
  • This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
