We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as APAC Liquidity Product Manager .
Working with Local Product, manage individual products and assigned suite of products for financials, marketing strategy, market competitiveness, regulatory compliance, legal, risk management, and efficiency of operation and technology delivery
Develop pricing recommendations based on financial analysis, competitive situation, and market trends
Stay abreast of liquidity industry initiatives, competitor's products, capabilities, pricing, and activities. Make recommended action steps.
Working with Local Product, project manage new product launches through New Product Approval Committees and process to ensure speed to market
Identify and implement improvements in product features and functionality
Update marketing materials and contribute to Request for Proposals
Provide liquidity market and product updates to Sales teams on a regular basis
Manage development and conduct liquidity product training for Sales and other key partners
Partner with Sales and other areas to assist in development of product strategies for targeted market segments including Large Corporates, Insurance, Central Banks, that identify trends, client buying behavior, current product usage
Assist in development of segment based solutions, recommended product enhancements, and new product development recommendations
Project manage jointly regional initiatives or sweep enhancements, to further increase Liquidity product distribution through other HSBC entities
In partnership with appropriate local heads of client service, develop and aid in the implementation of a client service strategy aimed at client retention and growth
Provide technical sales assistance in client meetings in conjunction with HSBC Liquidity Sales, Commercial Banking and Global Markets bankers or other Liquidity Product areas of the bank
Undergraduate degree, and MBA, CTP, CFA or relevant professional qualifications a plus
Several years of experience in a related role
Experience either in Asset Management, Corporate Banking, Cash Management, Treasury, Transaction Banking or Treasury Services
Strong product and project management skills
Understanding of treasury, cash, short term investment management products and investors behaviors
Specific knowledge of Investment Management and Corporate Banking an advantage
Self-starter with proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and who can influence and motivate people around them, diligent and proactive approach, taking initiative
Ability to take ownership of opportunities, work independently and deliver to deadlines in line with expectations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including preparation of business cases and new product development proposals
Mandarin skills highly desirable
Candidates with less experience will be considered for a lower banding role
