Be the customer interface for the following technical activities : "System data definition", "External Interfaces" and "Tools and Simulators"
Manage the System data definition" team and ensure the delivery within the project schedule. Data includes all ATO / ATP data required by the CBTC software.
Responsible for the "External Interfaces" to ensure completion of design, implementation and testing
Ensure that the team workload and budget is aligned with project assumptions, activities and planning
Define the activities / schedule of technical team in coordination with Technical Director and Project Manager
Propose and review risks and opportunities associated to the activities
Ensure that the deliverables are delivered within project milestones
Ensure global consistency of the site / local engineering process, practices and tools
Participate to signaling engineering activities under the technical director management
Interface with the competency center in Thales Toronto regularly
Support Integration and Test and T&C Team when necessary
Support Project manager and Technical Director & T&C Manager when necessary
10+ years’ experience in Engineering environments (preferably Railways Signalling) with at least 3 years’ experience in management role.
Knowledge of signaling system (Knowledge of CBTC system is preferred)
Knowledge of system design
Good understanding on Project reviews and Budget
Experience in people management
Experience in customer interfacing
Managing and mentoring the competency development of team members
Excellent communication, interpersonal and international relations skill
Good written and spoken English, Good communication skill. Cantonese is preferred but not mandatory
Knowledge of DOORS & Clearquest is preferred
Master / Bachelor degree of Engineering
