The Area Planning team plays a key role in supporting the Asia Area Presidency and the Director for Temporal Affairs (DTA) by conducting analysis, forming strategies, and executing initiatives to strengthen the Church in the area.
The Associate Area Planning Manager (AAPM) is a key contributor to the team, independently leading analysis and projects to support the priorities of the Area Presidency and DTA.
Act as a thought partner on key strategic initiatives and priorities with senior leaders
Use internal data analysis and external benchmarking analysis to support and inform the area priorities
Lead the internal consulting projects involving strategic assessments, strategy development, organizational restructuring, and management of the operations to maximize efficiencies
Develop quality proposals for senior leaders and obtain approval to implement proposals
Accomplish multiple projects and deliver high quality work with little direction
Assist other departments in developing and executing strategic plans
Relevant bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred
5-8+ years of relevant post-degree work experience, including making presentations to senior-level executives
Professional English skills, written and verbal
The ideal candidate has worked for a strategy consulting firm or an internal strategy group
Must have a high level of analytical and creative skills, the ability to communicate complex ideas verbally and in writing, and strong personal computer skills
Candidate must have excellent data analysis skills using analytical software (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI) and expertise presenting high-level proposals using PowerPoint
A knowledge of Church organization and how to effectively work with different departments and divisions both in the area and at Church headquarters
Willingness to travel (approximately 5-7 days per month)
