We are looking for an Assistant Manager based at Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong (Petrus)!

As an Assistant Manager, we rely on you to :

  • To have complete knowledge of the food & beverage service available in sections appointed
  • To ensure that HQ and Hotel standards and policies are explained to staff
  • To assume and endorse all responsibilities of the role during the absence of Manager
  • To monitor and ensure smooth operations of the sections appointed
  • To maintain consistency in quality of food / beverage / service / cleanliness of sections appointed
  • To obtain customer feedback during operations to ensure satisfaction
  • To proper and tactful handling of verbal complaints from customers
  • To ensure effective communication within sections appointed and with other divisions
  • To conduct / attend F&B divisional and departmental meetings as required
  • To ensure that all materials, equipment and machinery are properly used and regularly cleaned, in order to prolong usage
  • To ensure general maintenance of sections appointed and follow up on work order forms with Engineering department
  • To recommend improvements in all aspects of their appointed sections as appropriate
  • To ensure that staff are aware of and applies the procedures concerning hotel fire and life safety / emergency procedures
  • To review guest feedback / critique forms / outlet log books on operational issues / P&L statement
  • To co-ordinate with the Chef in sections appointed on planning of promotions / menu planning / staff training
  • We are looking for someone who has :

  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant working experience
  • Excellent command of English, Cantonese and Putonghua
  • Service oriented with outgoing personality
  • Innovative and strong sense of market trends
  • Presentable with strong leadership skills
  • Proactive, customer and business oriented
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
