You will work with the team lead and countries to build medical expertise in understanding Critical Illness (CI) risks and developing CI business and be the focal point of medical research on CI topics.
Provide medical expertise to support product design and Critical Illness (CI) risk assessment
Work closely with the data scientist in the team to assess data quality and completeness for CI risks analysis
Partner with external researchers and institute to research into CI topics
Provide regular medical research information to local countries to help assess future medical trends, based on countries interest
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including local claims and underwriting teams, multidisciplinary team of actuaries, data scientists, medical experts and researchers, industry bodies and communities
Provide support and guidance to the senior actuarial associate on the team
University degree in a medical field, with minimum 10 years relevant experience
Post-doctorate qualification is preferred
Deep knowledge and experience in critical illness topics
Practical knowledge of life insurance products
Willing to explore innovative product concepts and turn expertise into an asset
Excellent relationship management, strong team building, and the ability to work across business units and functions to drive positive business outcomes
Collaborate with key stakeholders across AIA group and BUs, e.g. Group Data Analytics team, Group Risk, Group Actuarial, local actuarial, local claims, local underwriting, etc.
