We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Relationship Manager, Data Services .

Principal Responsibilities

  • Accountable for making and keeping the product a success - by ensuring that it offers a strong value proposition to the customers and users and that it creates the desired business benefits
  • Responsible for delivering value to the business, engaging with the customer to ensure the team is building the correct product
  • Responsible for the product vision of what is to be built, and conveys that vision to the Agile software development team
  • Responsible for leading the design of large user stories (epics) which are broken down into smaller stories (product backlog), which is a prioritised features list for the product which is used by Agile Teams to develop technology solutions
  • Be aware of related industry trends, distilling this knowledge and sharing with the wider team
  • Manages the promotion and communication of the product to the wider organisation
  • Interacts with and fully understands customers and their needs
  • Maintains and manages communication with business stakeholders, resolving conflicting stakeholder priorities
  • Collaborates with the team to showcase the product to stakeholders
  • Requirements

  • Product Ownership, or equivalent experience in a complex data driven environment, preferably with experience of corporate entity customer data
  • Ability to use data analysis, observation, testing and investigation to understand how the data is being processed and identify where this differs from expectation
  • Experience of writing business requirements and reviewing requirements with the IT team to define solutions and translate into Stories and Epics
  • Preferred) Experience of as-is’ analysis, for example reviewing code or user created processing to reverse engineer business requirements from an existing application

  • Problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Understanding of entity resolution, creating a unique customer list based on associating system presence across platforms owned by the same entity
  • The ability to communicate technical matters effectively with senior stakeholders, focusing on risk, support required and proposing solution
  • Preferred) Experience of applying data skills using a variety of platforms and languages, for example Oracle SQL, Hadoop and Python
