The purpose of this position is to spread the message of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ to the world by deploying or posting engaging content and messages for publication on the most locally relevant communications channels throughout the Asia Area, particularly social media channels.
The Message Deployment Manager works closely with the Area Communications Director to understand the key messages and audience priorities of the Area Presidency.
This position collaborates closely with the Message Development Manager to assure that the messages developed are appropriate and optimized for the communications channels that best reach the maximum intended audiences.
The Message Deployment Manager is the Area expert for understanding which social media channels are most often used by audiences throughout the Asia area and how to deploy, measure and analyze the effectiveness of messages posted to these channels.
In collaboration with the Area Communication Director and Area Message Development Manager, develop social media strategies (audiences, messages, channels, intended and measurable results)
Create and maintain a calendar of message creation and deployment for each country in Asia
Deploy or post messages on communications channels to meet objectives such as audience reach and engagement
Manage social media advertising placement and promotion activities across multiple channels
Measure, analyze and report results of messaging efforts against intended objectives
Identify and recommend improvements for message creation and deployment
In collaboration with the Area Message Development Manager teach full-time missionaries and country media specialists how to create, deploy, measure, analyze and improve social media posts
Support the social media objectives of country communications committees and missions by being a training resource to them
Initiate and manage productive relationships with third-party social media agencies that support the Area’s message deployment and evaluation efforts
Is accountable for the results of audience reach and engagement on all communications channels
Data privacy / protection
Bachelor’s degree in related field plus 5+ years’ of social media or related experience
Expert knowledge posting to and managing social media content on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp, Line, Telegram and other social media channels
Expert understanding and knowledge of industry best practices in social media
Hands-on experience deploying content on several media channels (mobile and web)
Experience working in or working directly with social media companies or media placement agencies
Exceptional oral and written communications skills
Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis experience across all platforms using standard measurement tools to measure audience reach, engagement, etc.
