The Facilities Development Department would like to recruit an Assistant Project Manager / Project Manager (Architectural) to develop design and produce tender documentation for capital projects, alteration and additional (A&A) works and renovation projects in our Schools’ premises.
The incumbent will bring relevant technical experience to support the Department on delivering the project works on time, within budget and to ESF standard of quality.
The incumbent will also be responsible for :
Conducting feasibility study and providing advices on technical, design and statutory compliance.
Managing initial and ongoing consultation with end users, providing technical advices and development of design brief documents clearly articulating the requirements and fulfilling operational needs.
Design development and producing high quality design referencing to ESF standard design and baseline material specifications as well as complying to applicable statutory requirements.
Ensuring designs fulfill functional, user / operational needs, health and safety, sustainability, maintainability, aesthetics and cost requirements with best value.
Producing design documentation including layout plans, elevations, sections, construction details, 3D rendering, mood board and design presentation.
Producing tender documentation including tender drawings and technical specifications.
Closely coordinating with other disciplines such as building services, interior design, structural engineering, quantity surveyor, etc.
to ensure designs are fully coordinated.
Assisting in technical evaluation during tender assessment.
Reviewing, commenting and approving contractors’ submittals such as shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, as-
built drawings, O&M manuals, etc.
Monitoring and supervising on-site and off-site works, inspecting material and workmanship to ensure the works delivered are in good quality.
Degree in architectural study or relevant design and technical subjects.
Minimum 10 years relevant post graduate experience.
Professional qualification(s) desirable but not essential.
Hands on experience in producing design and specifications.
Result-oriented with excellent problem solving and communication skills.
Multinational corporate exposure an advantage.
Candidate with more experience will be considered as Project Manager.
Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive deadlines.
Ability to deal with construction contractors and consultants.
Fluency in oral, written English, Cantonese (desirable).
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisational skills.
Applies good understanding of best practice design.
Applies good understanding of HKSAR building codes and standards.
Applies good knowledge of construction practice, health and safety, sustainability and maintainability.
Competency in computer aided drawing software, such as AutoCAD.
Competency in BIM and 3D rendering software
