About the Role
Provides technical UNIX systems support within the Wells Fargo Technology organization.
Support a large technical infrastructure based on UNIX Server Operating System
Participate in weekly UNIX patching, Firmware and layered products updates as required.
Provide support for medium to complex technical issues and initiatives related to system O / S, applications, databases and / or other technical products and services.
Use diagnostic and other tools to maintain, troubleshoot and restore service to systems, escalating if needed to meet established service level agreements.
Assist with migrations from development to production, maintenance, upgrades, installations and / or configurations.
Update documentation and procedures, contribute to process improvement and provide technical consultancy / guidance to peers.
Market Skills and Certifications
Must have a minimum of 3 years Unix Operating Systems experience in administering, monitoring and managing Red-Hat environments.
Experienced in troubleshooting issues related to UNIX O / S, UNIX security patching and UNIX product upgrade process.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required (spoken / written English is a must).
Understanding of Change Control.
Experience in automating activities using Perl and / or Shell Scripting.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate and diagnose issues.
Ability to work flexible hours as needed. This includes, overtime, shift hours, public holidays or weekends.
Desired Skills :
Red Hat 6 / 7 / 8. Solaris 10 / 11.
Experience with SAN, NAS, replication etc.
Experience with high-availability and Disaster-Recovery using technologies such as Veritas Cluster Services and / or Red hat Cluster is highly desirable.
Experience in building Jumpstart and Kickstart servers.
Experience supporting and troubleshooting Dell and HP H / W - daily operation and firmware upgrade process.
Ability to support large scale projects and work with dynamic teams across multiple time zones.
