Head of Private Wealth Advisory

Private Banking and Trust Services - Private Banking Department

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Head of Private Wealth Advisory

Principle Responsibilities :

  • Provide timely, all-rounded wealth advisory services to Private Banking and Trust Services clients that support frontline staff to achieve and exceed the assigned business targets to raise the AUM for mega wealth clients.
  • Proactively participates in client meetings to provide time-to-market portfolio advice accompanying by the Relationship Managers / Team Heads.
  • Plan and provide education on the latest regulatory or Group compliance requirements to frontline sales staff
  • Work very closely with various product owners to get hold of the most updated and relevant wealth management solutions.
  • Develop and recommend changes and improvements to operating models, procedures and practices based on subject matter expertise and understanding of the Bank / HSBC Group and market best practice.
  • Lead the team and provide coaching to the wealth advisors in their professional development.
  • Requirements :

  • University graduate in related disciplines or other relevant qualifications with over 15 years’ experience in private banking and in leadership position
  • Strong technical investment knowledge on discretionary portfolios, global stocks and bonds, derivatives and exotic options etc.
  • Knowledge of other financial planning tools such as insurance for estate planning purposes, trusts and tax planning would also be required.

  • Exceptional relationship and communication skills with Ultra High Net Worth clients
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
