JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Content Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing the APAC content strategy. Working across the Brand, Marketing, Digital, Loyalty, and F&B Marketing functions, this role will focus on ensuring we have engaging and buzz worthy content to drive brand awareness, portfolio affiliation, consideration and bookings.

They will also ensure we have photography and video assets to support our creative needs as well as copywriting support.

The role will require a startup mentality and resourceful mindset as it will be leading the future of content within the continent and opening up new opportunities within the social landscape.

The role will lead the cross-discipline content agenda across the continent, oversee the sourcing and management of external agencies including quality control on agency creative and copywriting deliverables and identifying new content outlets.

This role will also support the development of training toolkits and playbooks and the expansion of Marriott Bonvoy Traveler Magazine and other travel news outlets.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience Preferred :

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Marketing or a related field
  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience in a content marketing role, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance.
  • Exemplary writing and editing skills
  • Proficiency in key digital competencies including SEO, Google Analytics, and social media channels (Instagram, Snapchat, Weibo, Twitter, Wechat, YouTube, Facebook)
  • Fluency of English (Mandarin and additional Asian languages would be advantageous)
  • CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Lead the Creative + Content Marketing efforts across APAC continent with the aim to attract and convert customers
  • Prepare cross-discipline content marketing plan and managing supporting calendar and budget
  • Support the sourcing of external content agencies including photographers, videographers and copywriters responsible for sourcing, pricing support and quality control
  • Work in conjunction with / support of Brand leaders, Area Directors of Marketing, Digital, Loyalty, Media and F&B Marketing to build APAC wide content approach;
  • responsible for ensuring we have the right content in the right format, and in key languages

  • Build close relationships and support the efforts of Marriott Global Creative Content Studio
  • Challenge the current thinking and approach of marketing team to evolve to a content first approach
  • Identify trending topics and ideate creative ideas to develop and amplify content for Marriott Bonvoy and our portfolio of brands in APAC
