The Hong Kong Jockey Club's Information Technology & Sustainability (IT&S) Division drives the implementation of innovative technology solutions in horse racing and football wagering systems in order to deliver a premium service to our millions of customers.

We are currently seeking talented IT professionals with strong technical expertise to contribute to the significant strategic transformation which will allow IT&S to adapt to the changing digital workplace, improve customer experience and accelerate the delivery of new product offerings.
Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary IT teams, you will play an instrumental role in building a digital platform with modern state of the art technologies that will power all of the Club’s service and product distribution channels.
These channels include over 100 betting booths at racecourses, 102 Off-Course Betting Branches (OCBBs), 4 call centers manned by 5000 plus Telebet operators, as well as multiple interactive online and mobile services.
It is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 3 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.

You will :
Lead a team of software engineers and external resources to accomplish development tasks as defined in the PDLC (Product Development Life Cycle)
Create and manage the resources plan to accomplish development tasks under the direction of the Portfolio Manager.
Work with business users to document requirements and prepare specifications.
Ensures all project commitments are met. Monitors and reports on progress in accordance with IT PMO requirements.
Work with architecture / infrastructure team to perform technical design and construction.
Supervise / perform system design, development (including customization, interfaces, conversion and reporting) and software release.
Conduct design / code review to ensure quality of software deliverables
Establish development standards and ensure compliance to established standards and processes
Identifies, acquires and deploys team members and manage third parties to ensure successful project execution
You should have :
Graduate qualifications in computer science or engineering.
With at least 8 years of experience in software development, system integration and system support with at least 1year of experience leading a small team
With project management experience in mid to large scale package-based solution implementation and participated in end-to-end lifecycle.
Experienced in stakeholder management including SI vendor, product vendor, on-shore and off-shore resources.
Business domain knowledge or experience in facilities management, hospitality management and customer relationship management would be an added advantage,
Strong ability in problem troubleshooting and diagnosis.
Proficiency in writing, presentation and communication skills.
Proficiency in both spoken and written English, Cantonese and Putonghua.
Certified in PMP project management
Application knowledge in CRM / hospitality package solutions
Knowledge of Microsoft .NET framework, C#, MS / PL SQL, Java preferred
Understanding of technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), RFID and NFC
Terms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. An initial contract employment will be offered to the successful candidate subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
