Your field of responsibility

As part of the role, your responsibilities include :

  • Provide day-to-day compliance support to the APAC teams within the Equities and Global Trading Solutions (GTS) teams, which may also include Prime Services and Structured Equities Trading
  • Seek to review and provide challenge / risk assessment of inherent risks and controls for the coverage desks
  • Design and roll out compliance program and compliance policies and procedures to front office for promoting compliance awareness across the businesses
  • Manage regulatory enquiries and lead regulatory examinations
  • Design and deliver compliance training on regulatory, compliance policies and procedures
  • Participate in relevant industry group discussion and coordinate within the Firm on global regulatory initiatives that impact practices within the APAC Equities and GTS businesses.
  • Demonstrate leadership in strategic projects and initiatives, including participation in New Business committees
  • Work with other Compliance teams within APAC regions as well as global counterparts on jurisdictional specific matters
  • Lead and manage the team as they handle ad hoc compliance issues

    Your skills and experience

    You are expected to possess the below :

  • Degree holder in Accounting, Law or related fields
  • Possess a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, for example, product compliance in a global investment bank or equivalent experience dealing with regulatory or compliance risk matters
  • In-depth products / market knowledge of Equities, GTS, Prime Services and / or structured equities trading
  • People management and / or leadership experience
  • Ability to independently drive responses to regulatory / exchange compliance issues / queries
  • Solid awareness of controls and governance
  • Self-motivated, a team-player and results oriented
  • Capability to work in partnership with business, shared services and other members in Legal and Compliance globally
  • Experience dealing with front office
  • Ability to learn quickly and balance multiple demands
  • Outstanding problem solving skills, analytical skills and organizational skills
