Mission Générale

The Sales Delegate supports the Area Manager in its various missions through the area and channels : Hermès Stores, Local Market, Travel Retail, E-commerce & Hotels.

The Sales Delegate position is key to support the Area Manager to reach the budgetary targets (both Sell-Out / Sell-in), develop the business and ensure a retail excellence across all channels.

Principales activités

Drive sales and ensure target achievements for Hermès Parfum & Beauté

  • Set up a yearly business strategy for the doors with the Area Managers : sell-out, rankings, competitor reports, stock level & product performance
  • Identify and propose proactively growth levers
  • Prepare and implement the store opening or refits
  • Set up and coordinate the promotional activities per POS and implement actions decided by the Area Managers
  • Guarantee a consistent and premium brand image throughout Travel Retail distribution : product assortment & visual merchandising by following the global strategy
  • Implement & help building the 360 activation plan (key global & local commercial periods, new launches)
  • Work on the product assortment per door to optimize the business
  • Implement the training strategy of Hermès

  • Evaluate and ensure the quality of service, grooming & attitude of our BC’s and develop their skills
  • Set up & follow up sell-out objectives per BCs and organize the incentives
  • Recruit staff according to Hermès philosophy and requirements (brand staff and promoters) in cooperation with Area Managers
  • Welcome, integrate, train, and empower promoters and GS
  • Ensure the partnership with agencies : budget follow up (review commissions amounts and bonus per BCs with the TR operators)
  • Train & coach BCs, identify needs & set up trainings with the training department and TR operators for dedicated BAs
  • Guarantee Hermès image

  • Integrate Hermès philosophy and represent the Hermès image at POS through appearance and attitude
  • Ensure excellence of execution of the permanent Image of Hermes for all types of distribution following the strategy defined by the Area Manager
  • Be warrant of Hermès policy (values, ethics, etc.)
  • Build up the strong relationship with clients over the zone

  • Verify the application of client agreements set by the Area Manager
  • Challenge buyers when placing an order to avoid out of stock situations
  • Establish a relationship of trust with clients and shop staff through frequent and qualitative contacts
  • Be actively engaged and proactive during sales & client meetings
  • Report and manage the budget

  • Be the link between the head office and the field
  • Consolidate all sales reports, competition information, trends, and opportunities
  • Organise store visits for head office members together with the Commercial Executive
  • Strongly follow up budget expenses for staff and animations
  • Report to the Area Managers the needs or best practices of competition

  • Young professional with 2-3 years of experience in retail / brand / account management
  • Experience in Perfume and Cosmetics is preferred
  • Passion for Beauty business and for the Hermès Universe
  • Willing to travel
  • University Grade (bachelor’s degree)

    The establishment in Paris employs approximately 180 employees (including regional managers and the sales teams of the personalised spaces) : collection development, communication, international management and operational development, visual merchandising, merchandising, sales drive, international training, operations, e-commerce, finance, IT, HR, etc.

    Currently, approximately 100 employees work abroad, in : Hong Kong, Shanghai, Dubai, Miami, Toronto, Belgium, the Netherlands, Madrid and London.
