We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Technology Strategic Partner Manager .

Principal responsibilities

  • Assisting on engagements with Technology suppliers to form major partnerships and strategic alliances for business
  • Implementing differentiated technology capability for our customers and our teams
  • Engaging with other HOST functions, for example, Procurement and Legal, in ensuring effective commercial management and robust governance in evaluating, reviewing, negotiating and on boarding of these new partnerships or alliance, delivery of the right commercial relationships with new organizations, including outsourcing opportunities
  • Delivery of remediation actions pertaining to but not limited by suppliers non compliance to risks or controls, internal or external audit findings
  • Adopt and share standards, tools, best practices, principles for cost, quality and productivity improvement
  • Participation in the supplier negotiations, timelines and plans
  • Management of the projects or tasks you are assigned using project management methodology and stakeholder briefing standard templates and approaches
  • Tracking and reporting of realized benefits during the life of the projects
  • Ensure that problems are managed, and escalated efficiently with the minimum disruption to the business. Adopt and share standards, tools, best practices, principles for cost, quality and productivity improvement
  • Maintain and ensure due observance of HSBC Internal Control Standards, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal and external auditors and external regulators
  • Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science or related disciplines is preferred
  • Good experience on programme management experience and Subject Matter Expertise knowledge, project delivery management methodologies and tools
  • Clear understanding of the drivers of cost and the relationship with business benefits
  • Ability to communicate complex subjects clearly
  • Ability to lead and manage extremely complex project implementation
  • Ability to lead an offshore based project delivery team
  • Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Proactive and self motivated approach, with the ability to work well as part of a team
  • Extensive experience in Information Technology or banking or risk areas with proven track record on managing Retail Banking and Wealth Management programme, preferably in a global or regional environment
  • In depth and extensive experience of Information Technology development life cycle, process management, reporting and communications
  • Good understanding of DevOps and Agile methodology
  • Experience in team and department transformation planning and execution journey
  • Previous working experience in Retail banking products, for example, cards, loans, saving, overdraft, and time deposits application systems and related services is preferred
  • Effective communication skills in spoken and written English
  • Good presentation and negotiation skills
