Here's what you’ll achieve :

As the Commercial Manager, you will be the subject matter expect on all commercial agreements ensuring operational compliance, cost control, financial responsibilities, and milestone obligations.

You will educate the business on commercial best practice and contribute to the long-term growth targets of our Local GWS team.

In partnership with our legal team, you will support the business in the timely agreement of contracts for CBRE and their clients.

Joining a market leading organisation driving rapid growth, you will implement all commercial negotiations and achieve the signed contract documents.

As a subject matter expert you will train others to develop commercial awareness through meetings, presentations, training courses and advice.

You will analyse opportunities and articulate options and potential outcomes. Using your prior knowledge your will promote best commercial practice throughout the business.

On a daily basis you will engage with clients, leadership team, Business Development managers and Local colleagues to get the best possible contract terms achieved.

Using your proven experience of contracting, you will support the team meet their growth targets. Ideally a background in a similar role, preferably knowledge of real estate or relatable industry.

Reporting into the Head of Commercial GWS Local APAC, you will be a key member of the wider Local team.

Education

  • Degree qualified or equivalent;
  • Degree or equivalent in Law, Post Graduate qualification, RICS membership are desirable
  • Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 5 years experience in similar commercial leadership role
  • Sales focused contract negotiation skills.
  • Customer focused approach.
  • Demonstrate good senior management leadership
  • Good mathematical / accounting skills.
  • Comfortable with complex problem solving and providing solutions-based advice and guidance to multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Thrive in fast paced working environment.
  • Able to understand and anticipate business needs.
  • Flexible approach, diligent, discrete, compliant with company policies and responsive to key business objectives.
  • Client negotiation track record, and experience working with blue chip, IT, finance, media, manufacturing, and telecoms companies desirable.
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate to all levels.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Knowledge

  • Proven knowledge and experience of contracting including workings of local legal legislation , offer and acceptance, valuations and quantifying, management of subcontractors.
  • Knowledge of standard industry contracts JCT, FIDIC, NEC3 , MF1 (or country equivalent)
  • Proven ability to affect sales and profit figures by maximising profit and minimising risk
  • Experience of contracting in Hong Kong Experience
