The project management position reporting into the Wholesale PMO Wholesale International Program team, will focus on the deployment of the International Branch Platform into APAC branches;
initially Hong Kong and Shanghai; ensuring that business outcomes are delivered to time, cost and quality.
Within the Portfolio, this role will focus on the support of the projects crossing multiple LOBs, and Functions (Legal, Compliance, Finance, etc.
with an impact to the banks operations within APAC and US but not exclusively.
Lead small to medium complex projects through of all activities in a project life-cycle (initiation planning, executing / controlling, and closing) demonstrating knowledge and execution of the entire process from beginning to end.
Consult with business partners to clarify and define complex project requirements, budgets and business cases, including statements of work.
Create and deliver presentations on program or project goals, and detailed work-plans / traceability matrices, including progress reports, working across multiple lines of business and functions.
Support the implementation of program and project level processes, procedures and performance metrics; as appropriate
Ensure project-related risks are managed according to the Project Management Policy.
Own project expense management for Business and Technology resources to ensure project financial goals met; may support Program expense management
Implement and manage the project governance as established by the Wholesale Portfolio and Program Management Office and Enterprise methodology
Partner with team members in multiple global locations to ensure program / project deliverables are met.
NOTE : Stakeholders are located across the globe with a heavy concentration in the United States.
Ownership of all required Enterprise project methodology documentation including, but not limited to, project charter, status reports, issues log, risk log.
Time management : demonstrate an ability working to tight deadlines on specific deliverables, while concurrently managing stakeholder’s deliverables to these deadlines
Market Skills and Certifications
Extensive management / project management experience and the ability to clearly demonstrate the management of cross functional / cross discipline teams both through direct management and influence.
Strong knowledge of project / program management concepts and the ability to pragmatically apply to maximize outcomes.
Ability to lead / manage multiple initiatives at the same time and the inherent prioritization of work effort that ensues.
Strong analytical skills to be able to interpret and synthesize complex business and technical environments to scope and control project work.
Excellent influencing skills, with the demonstrated credibility to interact with senior leadership and stakeholders, both within APAC and the United States.
Proven experience indirectly influencing experienced project management professionals in multiple locations and time-zones.
Experience and knowledge of the APAC Regional business model (or similar), and International Wholesale Banking.
Extensive knowledge of Banking systems Flexcube / Flexpay / Tradeworks experience an advantage.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate across all levels of management and interpersonal styles.
