Job Description

  • Oversees all FedEx-owned social and thought leadership digital channels in Asia Pacific. This includes LinkedIn, Facebook and the thought leadership website including unique content that goes on these channels.
  • Work with social media influencers to promote FedEx reputation and content.
  • Manage the Social Advocacy program to use internal commercial teams as advocates in their social channels across Asia Pacific.
  • Monitor third party social media conversations as well as responding to comments that could both promote and damage the FedEx brand and reputation.
  • Develop go-to-market strategy and execute to drive more visitors to the platforms, including paid campaigns and driving the SEO strategy to increase organic reach.
  • Analytics of these channels to optimize results and drive KPIS
  • Support development and management of FedEx Communications program regionally, with focus on media relations, issues and crisis management and community relations;
  • support business and communications objectives; provide support to ensure that FedEx is properly represented in external channels including media and social in a cost-effective manner.

  • Support content development including Q&As, speeches, presentations and briefing materials that support Communications programs.
  • Develop and implement crisis communications plans in order to ensure all external critical issues are handled appropriately and minimize risks to the brand.
  • Build relations in the Middle East and Africa with media and non-profit organizations; seek, review and submit community relations requests for programs to ensure that they are aligned with business objectives;
  • implement approved regional community relations activities in order to effectively position FedEx in MEISA.

    Job Requirements :

  • BA in public relations, communications
  • Qualifications and proven experience in social media and digital media management
  • At least five (8) years of experience in Communications discipline with strong knowledge of principles of social media
  • Familiar with social media channels including LinkedIn, Facebook and other channels including understanding of the analytics.
  • Experience in managing an external website including understanding of Adobe and Google analytics.
  • Experience in developing a content strategy to promote channels.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles and strong project manager.
  • Ability to support and connect business strategy to the social and digital strategy.
  • Proficient command of English with solid English copywriting and editing skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
  • Experience in management of an external web site including content production and search engine optimization skills
  • Strong analytics skills in measuring campaigns and driving social media outcomes
