Within the Global Marketing function but aligned to the Investment Banking division, sits the IBD marketing team, responsible for end-to-end marketing strategies and programs for the entirety of the division.

Working across the core elements of this premiere franchise-from M&A activity to our Cross-Markets Group to our Transaction Banking business-the team leads messaging strategy, content creation, digital marketing, and marketing analytics.

Role Summary

We are looking for a driven analyst / associate to support the marketing strategy for IBD in the Asia-Pacific. This person will report to the head of IBD international marketing and will be involved in the development of regional franchise marketing and thought leadership content.

The role will involve pitching, producing and editing content for a range mediums and distribution channels, including email marketing, social media, web, and multimedia.

This person will also be involved with assisting the growth of our native language marketing strategy in the region, including China.

This person will work closely with IBD deal / product teams and key stakeholders in APAC, along with the global IBD Marketing team across content and integrated marketing, to develop content ideas and distribution strategies to amplify key regional messages and drive engagement with clients and prospective clients.

Position Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key IBD Marketing contact in APAC and effectively interact and build relationships with senior management and regional stakeholders
  • Work with the head of IBD international marketing to establish and evolve key regional franchise messages, and pitch creative content ideas to the global content team and Global Marketing
  • Produce franchise and thought leadership content for multiple mediums and distribution channels, including social media, email marketing and web
  • Work closely with regional client deal teams and product teams to develop bespoke marketing strategies around dynamic live deal activity and market trends
  • Assist with content curation and management of IBD's digital and web presence, including its client-facing portal
  • Measure marketing impact in the region through the use of data analytics tools and feedback from senior leadership
  • Qualifications

  • 2-5 years related work in marketing, communications or finance
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with impeccable attention to detail
  • Ability to develop a clear, compelling story, and write and adapt to suit a range of different content mediums and audiences
  • Ability to read & write Mandarin Chinese a plus
  • Experience in producing content for social media platforms, including LinkedIn and WeChat
  • Thrives in fast-paced environment with the ability to think clearly under pressure, and handle simultaneous projects and deadlines
  • Self-starting, highly proactive person who demonstrates initiative and ownership, along with the ability to work well across a dynamic global team
  • Experience in Investment Banking or financial services a plus
  • Commercially savvy with ability to exercise discretion with respect to highly confidential / sensitive information
  • Experience with email marketing campaign software and analytics
