Role Purpose

Provides key support to ExCo, the COO, or equivalent to ensure the smooth running, sound governance, and production of key metrics for the Division, Entity or Business Unit.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provides senior support to ExCo, the CEO, Business Unit Lead or COO in the strategic, tactical and day-to-day delivery of commercial objectives
  • Owns business management processes and tools for the Division, Entity or Business Unit, implementing best practices and training as required
  • Oversees external and internal reporting activities, including quarterly reporting to Boards / the Group, annual budgets, business plans, cost reviews
  • Manages the budget and forecasting processes for the Division, Entity or Business Unit, providing timely financial analysis to the management team
  • Manages headcount and cost base data to drive efficiencies across the Division, Entity or Business Unit
  • Ensures adherence to the operational risk and control management framework(s), ensuring regular reviews of KPIs and MI reporting to identify problematic trends.
  • Initiates actions with line managers to remedy issues

  • Gives management support to team members to provide focus and guidance on day-to-day priorities and longer-term deliverables
  • Chair meetings and forums as required
  • Owns and drives ad-hoc projects for the Division, Entity or Business Unit
  • May manage a team of Business Managers.
  • Minimum Requirements

  • This can be either a People Manager or Individual Contributor role
  • Degree (or equivalent) and relevant professional qualification
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to communicate at all levels to deliver goals
  • People management experience desirable.
