The Department
The Customer and International Business Development Division (C&I) is responsible for providing quality wagering experience to local and overseas customers of The Hong Kong Jockey Club.
It operates 88 Race Meetings a year, 37 Simulcasts days, a thrice-weekly Mark 6 Draw, 7X24 Digital Channels, 7X24 Football Betting Services on over 11,000 different leagues per year.
The ultimate aim is to provide an impressive total customer experience leading to sustainable turnover growth in a responsible manner.
The Customer Management (Owner & Member Wagering Segment) Department formulates and executes business strategies to increase participation, build customer loyalty and shape good wagering experience for the Club’s Members (i.
e. Horse Owners and Members) with an ultimate aim of increasing customer satisfaction and turnover.
You will :
Perform statistical data analyses and advise actionable insights from the result on wagering segment’s business issues and marketing programs
Prepare and evaluate wagering segment’s business performance result for management
Set KPIs and track performance of wagering segment
Support customer management projects on customer targeting, lists preparation and analysis
Work with other departments and division on customer data management, integration and analysis
Ensure compliance with Responsible Gambling Policy and all stipulated legal requirements pertaining to wagering, thereby protecting the integrity of the Club’s businesses
Undertake other duties as assigned by Line Manager
You should have :
Bachelor degree preferably in Statistics, Quantitative Analysis, Computer Science, Data Science or equivalent
A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in statistical customer analysis
Experience with relational database
Experience in various data transformation techniques to aggregate transactional data
Exposure to Big Data analytic e.g. Hadoop an advantage
Ability to understand, maintain and compose database query scripts
Capability in handling voluminous data and in writing efficient queries
Strong business acumen and sensitivity to consumer market trends
Good knowledge in SQL, SAS, VBA, R, C# and other MS Office applications
Passion and knowledge of horse racing a distinct advantage
