Job Summary :

There is an opportunity for suitable candidates to join a leading insurance company that is embarking on capital projects relating to the upcoming Hong Kong Risk-based Capital regime.

The right candidate will get early and valuable experience of working with this new regime which includes, but is not limited to, economic balance sheet production, projections, sensitivity analysis, analysis of movement and capital optimization.

The role will cover the areas of Methodology, Financial Reporting and Implementation, as it pertains to the Risk-based Capital regime.

The role will also support external auditors during the adoption and implementation phase.

Job Descriptions :

Support the actuarial analysis in implementing new methodology, assumptions and model development for HK RBC

Embedding HKRBC into the regular capital management investigations, including economic balance sheet sensitivities under what-if scenarios and breakpoint analysis

Build and maintain the HK RBC capital management framework, including quantitative risk appetite development, review work and commentaries for senior management

Assist in various capital and ALM initiatives to optimize the company’s capital utilization under HKRBC.

Job Requirements :

University degree holder majoring in a numerical subject (e.g. Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Physics etc.).

Passes in multiple actuarial examinations offered by the Society of Actuaries, Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, or other equivalent actuarial bodies.

A minimum of 4 years relevant working experience is required.

Proficiency in actuarial software is an advantage

Knowledge of Prophet and stochastic modelling is an advantage.

Ability to develop and update economic models in Excel or similar

Strong analytical and numerical skills

Excellent attention to detail

Must be able to work independently and handle workload accordingly

Good interpersonal, communication, planning & leadership skills

Open, proactive and willing to challenge when necessary

Fluency in English and Cantonese is an advantage.
