Responsibilities

  • Support all supplier management works data analysis, reporting, team information sharing, maintain the supplier base information.
  • Participate all procurement related activities & administrative work.
  • Support procurement manager in sourcing and identifying right suppliers the first time for the respective region. Support procurement manager in executing new program launch from scoping and evaluation to implementation in a timely fashion
  • Support the procurement team in all kinds of procurement activities such as cost management, supplier relation management, supplier performance management (OTS, compliance, quality, contract performance) and any events and activities for the sourcing offices.
  • Support implementation of service metrics by driving supplier performance measured in i.e. QAR, on-time delivery, paperwork accuracy, etc.
  • Implement and maintain supplier database for assigned category and create related industry intelligence database
  • Conduct supplier / market research and track global manufacturing and sourcing environment. Provide timely updates to the U.
  • S. Headquarters and overseas offices

  • Resolve communication issues and reinforce communication process established between GGS and suppliers in addressing supplier performance issues.
  • Background :

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business Management or Engineering. Master’s degree or CPM / CPIM certification will be a plus
  • 3 years experience in Global Sourcing / Procurement in a relevant industry and assigned region required
  • Supplier Management :
  • Relevant experience in developing and managing supplier relationships worldwide over multiple product lines, resulting in improved performance and cost
  • Aptitude in developing and utilizing functional regional network that enables finding and qualifying suppliers
  • Ability to implement strategic supplier performance and cost management systems on a global scale.
  • Negotiation and Influencing Skills :

  • Clear and thorough knowledge of the negotiation process and supplier cost breakdown analysis. Proven ability to execute the entire process for programs with moderate COGs.
  • Effectively leverages all resources (time, information, company position, communication skills) to achieve outstanding results.

    Ability to maintain strong relationships and exert influence when needed

    Business Knowledge :

  • Ability to quickly grasp GGS business direction, customer requirements, supply chain management / marketing strategy, inventory management and demand generation fulfillment process
  • Possess a clear understanding of suppliers, customers, GGS strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and aggressively address issues
  • Analytical Skills :

  • Ability to conduct thorough RFQ analysis for effective evaluation of suppliers’ competitiveness
  • Analyze supplier performance and cost data, market intelligence in order to develop and implement action plans which drive supplier performance and cost improvement
  • Communication Skills :

  • Well versed with various IT tools for communication and must possess presentation skills for reporting & presenting business scenarios
  • Ability to effectively promote and represent GGS and Procurement to global suppliers and the market in assigned region
  • Proven ability to communicate to the right audience in a timely fashion using a effective communication method, depending on the nature of information
  • Clear and concise oral and written communication skills required in dealing with domestic & overseas suppliers as well as team members in the overseas Procurement offices
