Be a part of the excitement and join our team! Key Responsibilities :
Manage day-to-day Alizila operations, including content creation and production, maintaining an editorial calendar and appearance and performance of the website, staff communication and coordination, social media outreach, and execution of content agreements with third-party sites.
Report and write English-language blog posts, news articles, infographics and other content for Alizila, for content partners and for third-party sites.
Define and execute content roadmap and strategy, taking inputs from business units and aligning with key stakeholders.
Edit all Alizila copy, verifying facts and rewriting as needed to make stories easier for readers to understand. Work with in-house and freelance writers to help their ideas and stories succeed.
Ensure stories adhere to journalistic standards in accuracy and tone.
Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic mainstream and social media programs to achieve significant increases in awareness of the Alibaba brand.
Monitor website and social media analytics to measure progress.
Lead team of content creators : coach and mentor, manage the workload and be responsible for the output and results of the team.
Coordinate with Alibaba International Corporate Affairs and China Corporate Affairs departments to develop and execute strategies that enhance and amplify Alibaba’s corporate voice;
assist in the creation of corporate messaging and ensure content meets corporate messaging goals.
Provide English-language editing support to the International Corporate Affairs department and Alibaba business units.
Job Qualifications :
Solid track record in journalism or brand journalism. Applicants must have 15+ years of experience with top-tier media outlets.
At least 8+ years in an editor-in-chief or managing editor role running print or digital news operations and overseeing an editorial staff.
Solid English writing and editing skills, including headline writing and image selection and editing.
Comfortable working in a global company with a high degree of cultural diversity. Fluency in conversational Mandarin a plus, ability to read simplified Chinese a strong plus.
Driven self-starter who can work both independently and as part of a team. Must demonstrate an ability to quickly solve problems and overcome logistical difficulties.
This person is not afraid to think big and is also willing to roll up his / her sleeves to get the work done.
Knowledge of the internet, technology, digital media and the e-commerce industry is a plus.
The position is based in Hong Kong or at corporate headquarters in Hangzhou, China.
