Hang Seng's Global Markets Operations is a team of experienced banking operations professionals who strive for delivering time-to-market, efficient and world-class processing services to customers, corporations, financial institutions and internal units.
We are responsible for driving every part of the trade lifecycle post execution. We manage settlement activity, risk and control, while ensuring the delivery of regulatory compliance and seamless operational client services.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Global Markets Operations Associate .
Work as a specialist in a team whose function is to provide OTC Collateral Services work streams
Participate in system enhancements and new business initiatives, in particular driving projects and focusing on the enhancement or replacement of the Collateral Processing engine, FINTEC and nComs
Support strategy for Collateral Operations for the Bank, in collaboration with the Global and regional Business partners
Support delivery of the Collateral Optimisation program for the Bank to minimise cost and maximise the use of collateral for the Bank's business
Follow the Group and Collateral Operations global strategies and constantly updating procedures to fulfil this
Constantly review and update procedures to cater to the ever-changing regulatory requirement for Collateral Management
Dispute resolutions related to margin calls and perform investigations to cater the underlying reasons for MTM discrepancies
Work closely with custodians and other internal stakeholders on setting up new Collateral agreements.
A degree holder, preferably in a business or finance discipline
General banking experience at a major bank, preferably Derivatives or Collateral operations in particular
General knowledge of treasury products and documentation standards
Strong analytical, mathematics and problem solving skills
Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Good written and spoken English
Fluent in programming language, e.g. Microsoft Visual Basic, and proficient in other Microsoft Office applications, preferably having hands-on experience in providing solutions that fulfill operational requirements.
