    III. The Role

    Morgan Stanley is looking to recruit a Translator / Editor to review a wide variety of English and Korean content compiled in the Asia-

    Pacific region. The level of the position and salary will depend on the candidate’s level of experience.

    Based in Hong Kong, this Translator / Editor would have these key responsibilities :

  • Accurately translate English language reports into Korean
  • Edit Korean-language reports to ensure content complies with regulatory and firm policies
  • Edit English-language reports to balance regulatory and firm policies with a clear, commercial message that is in-line with house style
  • Advise on report structure and clarity
  • Build strong relationships with analysts and editorial peers across time zones
  • Qualifications :

  • A university degree holder
  • Superior editing, writing and spoken skills in English and Korean at a native language standard with excellent translation skills
  • Native proficiency in Korean is a must
  • Have a sound understanding of financial analysis
  • Supervisory Analyst (FINRA Series 16) qualification is desirable but not essential
  • Capable of ensuring consistency between underlying arguments, financial models, and investment conclusions
  • Familiarity with Asia Pacific companies and markets is an advantage
  • Ability to work calmly under time pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience editing in HTML would be an advantage

  • Strong attention to detail
  • A strong commercial sense and good interpersonal skills
