We are seeking passionate software engineers to expand our award-winning development team. Successful candidates will be responsible for designing, building, and testing innovative technology within Harmonic’s comprehensive portfolio of video and media products and Cloud-based services, collaborating with Harmonic’s R&D teams around the world.
Roles & Responsibilities
Implement robust and scalable software-based products and solutions in an Agile development environment
Develop necessary automation test software for new technologies, as part of Harmonic’s standard development process and frameworks
Research new technologies, techniques and 3rd party frameworks
Build innovative products within Harmonic’s comprehensive portfolio of video and media products, as well as Cloud base services
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related disciplines
Relevant experience on software development or media processing will be a plus.
Good analytical skills and communication skills
Fast learner quickly pick up new skills as required
Strong sense of commitment and responsibility
Good team player with self-initiative attitude
Knowledge of Java or C++ programming languages is a plus
Familiarity with Amazon Web Service, Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure is a plus
Familiarity with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes / Mesos, SDN, big data analytics and machine learning is a plus
Exposure to cutting-edge video technologies such as UHD HDR10, HEVC, etc. is a plus
