This position will lead AIA’s digital transformation from UX perspectives and establish best-in-class digital design systems that defines AIA digital experience.

To be responsible for the quality of UX solutions across 18 markets. Mentor designers and build the best in class in-house UI / UX design capabilities for Group within the CoE and offshore shared services.

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Create and maintain the-best-in-class Group Digital Design Systems (component library with guidelines) for an optimal user experience across the markets
  • Establish and maintain a governance model to create a local UX that meets Group standards while balancing efficiency, scalability, and consistency
  • Stay informed and in tune with the latest developments within UX methodologies, best practices, trends etc., and constantly improve our work and the way we work
  • Review and critique UX solutions produced by Group / local UX designers to make sure that the solutions meet Group standards
  • Build / maintain the best-in-industry UI / UX design team in the CoE and offshore Shared Services to help grow its members
  • Identify areas of improvement in our work process, including the process between Group and local BUs, and suggest executable actions
  • Work with PM to make sure that the workload of UX designers is reasonable and the team is at high performance
  • Work with local BUs to balance the governance and autonomy in creating new components and UX solutions
  • Review BU UX solutions and suggest improvements
  • Identify quality vendors that can meet our standards in the markets we work in and manage logistics for the engagement.
  • Negotiate with stakeholders to create a reasonable timeline that balances quality and efficiency
  • Support project UX Leads in steering the projects to the right direction from UX perspectives while meeting requirements
  • Support designers in various tasks to meet the tight deadline and expectations from stakeholders
  • Identify quality vendors that can meet our standards in the markets we cover and manage logistics for the engagement
  • Manage vendors to produce local BU UX solutions that meet our standards and schedule
  • Minimum Job Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in related fields or equivalent experiences
  • Min 10 years of relevant experiences
  • Track records of creating truly human centered, delightful customer experiences for large corporations (could be a client)
  • Have the highest standards in building the best in class UX
  • Hands-on design skills with the industry standards tools
  • Updated with the latest UX trends, best practices, methodologies, and tools
  • Must have hands-on knowledge of the end to end development process for a large digital products.
  • Superior verbal and written presentation skills to communicate the ideas in a clear and concise manner to designers, technologists, project managers and executives
  • Ability to think strategically to produce maximum ROI for Group
  • Must be goal driven and have an ability to find ways to reach the set goals
  • Must be organized, able to work with minimal supervision, flexible to switch rapidly between different projects and manage them in a timely manner
  • Must be a self-starter and willing to accept tough challenges with a positive attitude
  • Must be persistent and proactively make necessary actions to achieve goals
  • Have a good balance between details and a big picture
  • Must be interested in digital transformation of a traditional company
  • Cantonese speaking capability is a plus
  • Experience with financial domain a big plus
