Senior Manager, Customer Propositions

Business Banking

Hang Seng's Business Banking business provides one-stop financial solutions to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) grow their businesses.

Our Relationship Managers provide tailor-made financial services, including commercial loans and overdraft facilities, trade and receivables finance, investment and corporate wealth management services, insurance, foreign exchange services, MPF, payroll, business e-Banking and commercial credit card.

Apart from financial services, customers can enjoy a variety of preferential offers provided by our business partners.

Should you join our Business Banking business, you will have the opportunity to meet with customers from a great variety of businesses and develop total banking relationships with them.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Senior Manager, Customer Propositions.

Principal responsibilities

  • Develop and drive customer propositions tailored for various customer segments, including Business Banking Portfolio-Managed Segment and District Relationship Management Segment
  • Partner with District Heads, Senior Business Banking Center Managers and De-risking teams to expand and manage the customer base through adopting optimal acquisition, upgrade, anti-attrition and de-risking strategies
  • Develop and drive new initiatives and marketing programmes in collaboration with District Heads and Senior Business Banking Center Managers to deepen customer relationship and to enhance the product penetration and profitability of different segments
  • Design and implement customer journeys for effective engagement and stickiness
  • Liaise with relevant departments, products, channels and branches to ensure that the propositions are properly and consistently delivered to customers, both on sales and services
  • Continuously develop innovative ways to achieve synergy across different segments and develop programs that can achieve multiple business objectives to maximize the cost-effectiveness and returns of investments, striving to achieve the rolling operating plans
  • Requirements

  • University degree in Business Administration, Marketing or other relevant qualifications
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, HKICPA, CB, CFA, FRM and PMI would be an asset
  • Minimum 7 years of working experience in the banking industry with focus on commercial banking and good understanding of trade finance, investment & global markets, insurance, cash management, commercial lending and electronic banking, as well as the related banking systems
  • Experienced in leading a team and managing good relationship with internal / external stakeholders
  • Great strategic and analytical thinking, problem solving, organization and influencing skills
  • High level of customer centricity mindset with dedication to deliver exceptional quality services for customers

  • High sensitivity to the changing market dynamics in association with related compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrate sufficient awareness and regard of operational risk, internal control and compliance policies of the Bank and HSBC Group
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese
