Duties

The appointee will work independently as a senior member of the team in providing project support, implementation and reporting of organizational initiatives, supporting decision making and represents unit in discussions / negotiations with government departments, NAMI's units, industry sponsors, research organizations and other stakeholders.

He / she will be responsible for :

  • Proactively liaise amongst NAMI research team, industry sponsors and Innovation and Technology Commission ("ITC") and other project stakeholders, where appropriate on project administration and support matters, matching fund and royalty collection, patent filing and commercialization in order to ensure proper project fulfillment and maximize sponsors' satisfaction and compliance;
  • Research and analyze technological development of advanced materials as well as conduct benchmarking and technology assessment to support development of NAMI's core technologies;
  • Prepare and support meetings to facilitate project assessment and delivery to meet our annual goals and complied with regulatory requirements and NAMI procedures;
  • Oversees and manages process for the entire project life cycle, from request to close;
  • Prepare and review of agreements and other documents. Conduct the due diligence and technology assessment;
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper records, and current data in the CRM and other management information database.
  • Support to compile relevant reports;
  • Deal with risk of project issues and sponsors’ complaints; and
  • Work closely with R&D teams and the Business Development Manager of the assigned Market Sector to support various activities for growing the Market Sector.
  • Requirements

  • Degree holder (Post-graduate qualifications a plus) in a related field with post-award / departmental research administration experience;
  • Candidate of Civil or Construction related academic qualification / background highly preferred;
  • At least 3 years of experience in the management of project activities of a business or governmental program. With extensive understanding of government funding programs, regulations, policies, and procedures as well as the ability to interpret those of other sponsoring agencies;
  • Excellent numeracy, literacy, formal writing and minute taking, and accurate agreement preparation skills;
  • Have strong social skills to liaise with multiple parties and deal with complex case independently;
  • Knowledge and experience in research, project and customer relationships management (CRM), intellectual property and technology transfer are highly preferred; and
  • Proactive with 'Can Do' attitude, reliability, highest integrity and confidentiality. Ability to multi-tasks, prioritize work and work under pressure.

    Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Medical and dental benefits as well as annual leave will be provided.

    Appointment will be offered on a contract basis, renewable subject to mutual agreement and performance.
