The Position :
You will be responsible for commercial and relationship management of all direct materials suppliers for HID Global. The responsibility spans all facets of Category Management, from Category assessment, supplier selection, on-boarding, ramp, sustaining and improvement, as well as supplier de-sourcing.
Ultimately, you will be responsible for driving both performance and compliance accountability through structured and inclusive governance forums.
Additionally, this role is focused on cost performance of the direct material supply base mandating highly cross-functional leadership skills and orchestration capabilities.
This role is global in nature and requires collaboration with business areas / units to ensure the direct material supplies meet business requirements and capabilities.
You will also serve as a conduit to group through reporting and collaborative supply chain improvement efforts.
This position requires in-depth experience in Category Management and the ability to establish partnerships externally and internally to ensure optimum performance and high levels of integration.
Additionally, this role will require a deeper level of extended governance capability.
Although this role may not have a direct reporting relationship with recent acquisitions, the ability to both govern and lead through dotted-line relationships is critical.
You will be required to collaborate to create standards, the communication skills to indoctrinate the broader organization to these standards, and the leadership to guide the organization to achieve these standards and meet performance goals.
What we are looking for :
The ideal candidate should have strong communication and collaboration skills. You should be a self-starter and motivated to drive improvements.
Presenting and data driven decision-making skills are key to succeed within this role.
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) is required, and 6 years related work experience. A Master’s degree is desirable and APICS certification a plus but not essential.
You would also ideally have strong supply chain, category management and operations experience.
