Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club has become one of Hong Kong’s best known and respected organisations, providing the public with world-
class sporting entertainment as well as being the city’s major non-Government community benefactor. Our contribution to the community is made possible through our unique, not-
for-profit business model that channels the surplus proceeds from responsible gaming into community benefits. The Club is now donating over HK$3.
6 billion a year to charitable and community projects through its Charities Trust. The Charities Department provides support to the Board of Trustees in the task of granting donations to various non-
profit organizations in support of community projects, including arts and culture, sports and recreation, youth services, elderly services, environmental protection, medical and health, etc.
