Business Development Senior Manager - Retail

  • Lead, develop, plan, and implement Retail strategy to meet or exceed sales volumes, revenues, and profitability plans
  • Deploy sales and marketing processes to prospect, to identify, and to qualify new markets and potential customers including working with partner and sister companies;
  • sales and marketing activities, and partner relationships

  • Manage the pipeline of opportunities from current and prospective customers to ensure that sales goals can be met. This includes qualification of opportunities within the pipeline, proper prioritization of activities, and management of time and commitments to ensure priority opportunities move through the sales cycle
  • Prepare Customer engagement / pursuit plans and storyboards during visits
  • Provide leadership in solutions development
  • Assist in product development
  • Assist in Business Requirements Document (BRD) to support products and services
  • Provide requirements for people and resources
  • Ensure a clean knowledge transfer and hand-off of closed sales to the account management and customer services groups, such that projects and service issues can be handled smoothly and customer satisfaction can be maximized
  • Monitor, measure and report on sales performance as relates the sales volumes, revenues, and profitability
  • Manage and develop direct reporting staff and achieve service differentiation through our people, processes and products / services
  • Manage and control general and administrative expenditure within agreed budgets
  • Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organizational requirements as relates to corporate governance, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care
  • Qualifications

  • University Degree or equivalent qualification with minimum 7 years working experience in the logistics environment
  • Successful track record in sales environment
  • Demonstrate knowledge of key account management
  • Knowledge and experience in logistics management, freight solutions, warehousing and distribution and other supply chain-related services
  • Customer oriented with the ability to establish strong relationships and interact effectively with customers at various levels
