  • Full compliance to iSTRIDE software development and application change controls
  • Understand business objectives and priorities, and contribute towards said objective via software development and continuous improvement of Back Office Systems operations
  • Provide inputs and prepare all systems development documentation including but not limited to users requirements specification, systems design, unit / integrated test plans, progress reports to Team Lead Back Office Systems or Head of Back Office Systems
  • Familiarity in troubleshooting, improving or modifying via configuration or development of COBOL language with
  • one or more

    of the following modules and data model within Integral Life (DXC core policy admin system)

  • New Application, Customer and Beneficiary as well as parties creation and management
  • New Business and Underwriting
  • New Life Insurance Product creation, including
  • illustration, quotation and policy document wordings and templates
  • Commission structure and rules
  • Plan and Campaign configuration
  • Underwriting Rules
  • Re-indexation, repricing and benefit allocation
  • Distribution Channel, commissions, and claw back rules
  • Letterings to customer
  • Finance and General Ledger including Levy, Taxes and integration to financial systems
  • Policy Administration and Customer Servicing including payment receipts and disbursement
  • Claims Management
  • Scheduled batch jobs (Job Control Log)
  • Reporting modules and data models required for externalized reporting
  • Familiarity with solution architecture of DXC LifeAsia and relevant integration components, include externalization via MQ
  • Unit Testing of development area and participation in end to end testing where required.
  • Participation in yearly Disaster Recovery activity as testers, troubleshooters and providers of improvement areas to improve RTO and RPO
  • Compliance to IT Risk and Security as well as Data Protection processes and policies in Client, especially in protecting customer data and in reporting fraudulent behavior
  • Qualifications / Requirements :

  • Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or related disciplines
  • Good Knowledge of COBOL development, AS400, Wintel and Databases (SQL Server / DB2, particularly stored procedures and SQL queries)
  • Familiarity with IBM CDC and MQ
  • At least 3 years of application development experience on LifeAsia; prior experience on iLife and / or LSP is definitely a plus
  • For Asst. Manager at least 5 years
  • Manager role at least 7 years.
  • Highly responsible, willing to contribute extra effort and time to meet tight project schedule
  • Good knowledge in SDLC processes and procedures, change management and problem determination
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, supervision and problem solving skills
  • A good team player, has good attitude and willingness to learn
  • Good command of English, Cantonese and Mandarin
