What part will you play?
The Senior Social Producer will devise content strategies across all social platforms for CNN’s Editorial Sponsorships.
Working closely with their colleagues in the Editorial Sponsorships team, the Senior Social Producer will also create content for multiple social platforms with a focus on growing CNN’s international audiences.
This role requires experience in building social communities, creative and solid writing skills, strong editorial judgment, and the ability to tell a story in a social way while maintaining CNN standards.
What will you be doing?
The Senior Social Producer will work closely with the Concept Development and the Social teams to devise social content strategies that engage with audiences and contribute to the sponsorship KPIs and wider CNN Digital audience development goals.
They will maintain CNN’s high journalistic standards by editing and producing social content that is balanced, fair, visual and engaging.
They will help to collaborate with sponsorship producers to commission social content from around the world, meeting regularly with Campaign Strategy and Delivery Analysts and programmers to share audience insights.
The Senior Social Producer will continuously look at innovating to find ways of engaging with and building niche communities around defined subjects like the environment, arts, travel, sport, and business.
They will also have a keen interest in regional trends, with a particular focus on our engaged African and the Middle East viewers.
In addition, the Senior Social Producer will also be required to work with CNN’s on-air talent and producers to commission multiplatform content from field assignments.
This position is based in London or Hong Kong and will collaborate with a cross-functional team in Atlanta, Washington D.
C, New York, Hong Kong, and Abu Dhabi. The candidate must be a self-starter and comfortable working on tight deadlines and be able to switch rapidly between projects in a fast-paced news environment.
The Senior Social Producer closely with or manage, contractors that include other social producers, designers, and video producers.
This role is a journalistic position, requiring strong editorial judgment, and the ability to tell a story in a social way while maintaining CNN standards.
