Assistance Manager, Financial Control (12 month contract)

What is the opportunity?

As the Assistance Manager, Financial Control, you will be responsible for to the maintenance of effective and accurate regulatory reporting in line with business objectives and requirements for Hong Kong entities.

What will you do?

  • Ensure compliance with financial and regulatory requirements
  • Preparation of regulatory returns for the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and Securities and Futures Commission
  • Daily monitoring of internal regulatory reporting
  • Drives the readiness to compliance with Basel III requirement
  • Build value-added partnerships with the Capital Markets Hong Kong Businesses and Functions by streamlining and enhancing delivery of finance services to focus on partnership and value add
  • Manage creation and delivery of enhanced management that assists business leaders attain their financial and strategic objectives
  • Focus on process improvement. Optimise control environment infrastructure and process
  • Assist in deliver an implement Finance projects that deliver process efficiency and enhanced control
  • Change management to financial control and regulatory reporting processes to support new business initiatives. Provide inputs to functional specification and participate in user acceptance testing if required
  • What do you need to succeed?


  • Degree qualified in Commerce / Business discipline
  • Minimum 4 years' financial institution and / or Big 4 experience, in which 2 years’ experience in Finance for Capital Markets Businesses
  • Self-motivated, with a professional attitude and presentation
  • Self-starter, hands on, excellent work ethic
  • Good command of English and communication skills
  • Good team player
  • Excellent PC skills and excel macro / access knowledge
  • Nice-to-have

  • Experience in a Capital Markets or Bank Finance Department
  • Experience with HKMA and SFC Returns reporting
