PURPOSE Lead the cloud application designs, cloud approval plans, and systems required to manage cloud storage Lead the creation of a technology framework and provide technical leadership in support of initiatives in cloud computing and automation, with a focus on the design of systems and services that run on cloud platforms.
This role is part of core cloud CoE team, who will lead the cloud transformation / change management across 10 BUs, the responsibility includes managing contractors and 10 BUs IT colleagues.
This lead will be managing at least 5+ FTE / contractors, the Head of IT and 10+ technical colleagues of each BU Facilitate the overall Technology organization to adopt cloud-first strategy & realize the overall Group Technology Strategy by where Cloud based operation underpins.
Drive cloud transformation concepts and engineering patterns into development teams to keep systems operating effectively Educate the Head of ITs and its underline colleagues of 10 BUs on best Cloud Architecture, pattern and practices Drive cloud modernized application architecture for all the apps inside the 10 BUs, provide know-how and knowledge to the local IT team KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES Act as the SME of Cloud Architecture for 10 BUs, educate the BU’s IT colleagues Design the cloud infrastructure that supports the organizations velocity which includes creating and maintaining the continuous delivery pipeline toolchain, including continuous integration, automated builds, automated build verification testing, and automated deployment, apply the design to 10 BUs Lead the definition and development of cloud reference architecture and management systems Provide thought leadership in industry and to fellow team members across business and technical project dimensions solving complex business requirements Create platforms and environments (which may be cloud-based PaaS) for development, solution demos, and user acceptance testing Design and build test architectures (test automation frameworks, code libraries, etc.
for the team to use across the platforms Implement Blue / Green environments and allow touchless deployments utilizing CICD Pipelines which enables Release on Demand Design and create the continuous delivery pipeline toolchain, including continuous integration, automated builds, automated build verification testing, and automated deployment, apply these tools to 10 BUs and 600 apps Interfere and troubleshoot any part of supported services when needed Investigate and solve live performance and stability issues in production Provide dedicated support to individual Service Delivery Engineers and Operations Oversee all planned outages, and assist with major upgrades to ensure minimum downtime Lead with major upgrades to ensure minimum downtime Educate peers about best standards, processes and technologies Serve as the SME for selecting technology candidates and self-healing capabilities for future service development QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE 10+ years of IT experience Relevant degree or diploma program of study Design knowledge for cloud architecture with expert level knowledge of Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform with associated certifications Able to work proficiently with several different operating systems, including Windows, Mac, and Linux.
In-depth knowledge of networking and associated technology, including LAN / WAN, OSI, TCP / IP, File Transfer Protocols, Telnet and Secure Shell, Load balancer, Domain Name System, and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, among others Ability to work with physical hardware and virtual machines Ability to develop custom tool integrations Ability to write consistent and published APIs Experience building, integrating, deploying and provisioning service services Experience with configuration management systems (Chef, Puppet, BOSH) Experience with modern tools such as Atlassian (Jira, Confluence) Expertise in multiple version control systems (Git, GitHub, Subversion) Specific experience with service Foundry development, administration and APIs KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS Solid knowledge in cloud engineering standards and practices Proficient in container deployment, Kubernetes system, API Gateway, Client / Server, MVC, OOP, RDBMS, automated test and Internet / Intranet environment Manage projects in Agile development approach Understand latest and emerging technologies and practice, such as DevOps, Cloud, Microservice and Mobile development Exemplify good interpersonal communication skills at all levels of business users, IT, partners and vendors Good command of spoken and written English
