We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Business Development Manager .

Principal responsibilities

  • Work as a senior marketer within the Sales and Business Development team of Issuer Services, Hong Kong
  • Achieve sales revenue targets and increase revenues by generating new business for Issuer Services by way of managing client discussions and delivering the right product solutions as well as collaborating with internal stakeholders including relationship managers and product partners
  • Expand Issuer Services' business relationships and market share through direct negotiation, client calls or client presentation.
  • This involves working closely with internal stakeholders such as Global Banking, Commercial Banking, Global Capital Financing and others

  • Manage a portfolio of clients against a predetermined set of criteria including target revenues, profitability risk criteria and business and risk filters
  • Develop and maintain both internal and external referral sources within dedicated portfolio.
  • Directly handle an assigned portfolio of clients and work with colleagues as well as internal stakeholders to further develop the client portfolio and generate new mandates leading to increased Sales Revenues
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with internal stakeholders in deal pitches to win new mandates and ensuring a seamless deal execution while observing the HSBC core values of open, connectivity and integrity
  • Requirements

  • Undergraduate or above qualifications
  • Solid sales and marketing experience in financial and banking sector
  • Effective marketer with proven revenue track record in sales in banking sector
  • Prior banking experience in banking sector is a prerequisite, with added advantage if candidate has prior banking experience in client coverage and relationship management, credit and lending or capital markets or capital financing
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Mandarin and Cantonese is not a key requirement but added advantage
  • Strong collaborator and teamplayer who is able to work effectively under various stakeholders
  • Able to work collaboratively in a pressurised environment
  • Well organised with an ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Attention to details with willingness to continuously learn and develop professional skills
