Assistant Vice President, Project Management
Summary
The successful candidate will participate in a Digital Transformation Program for the largest telecommunications company in Hong Kong to plan out project activities and team responsibilities, measure and monitor project progress versus time, budget and resource allocation, identify risk and issue, and lead team to execute project activities as well as mitigate project risks
Job Duties
He / She will be part of the project management team and manage the program on a release or scrum team level with the following scope of duties :
Devise project schedule in a systematic and quantifiable way
Define and fine-tune project methodology to effectively control project and assure quality outcomes
Drive project delivery proactively by balancing scope, schedule, budget and resources
Prioritize task and instruct team / team members for execution
Identify risk and issue affecting cost and devise mitigation / remediation plan
Perform stakeholder report and escalation
Manage relationship with internal and external stakeholders
The Person
University graduate in Information Technology or Computer Science / Engineering. Graduates of other disciplines will also be considered
Experience in Telco industry preferable, especially in the area of customer relationship management (CRM), order management, service provisioning and billing
Experience in managing onshore and offshore teams
10-year experience managing large scale IT software development projects of 100+ project members
Agile practitioner, either as a scrum team scrum master or a release train engineer (RTE) in large scale projects
Problem solving skills - Knack in analyzing problems to identify root cause. Open-minded to look at problems at different angles
Project financial management experience preferred
Out spoken and capable of explaining complex ideas verbally with PowerPoint
Fluent in Cantonese and English. Proficiency in Putonghua desirable
Candidate with less experience will be considered as Senior Project Specialist
