Main Responsibilities :

  • As part of the Asia Pacific Executive Committee and a member of the Global COO Executive Committee, the APAC COO is to contribute to the global strategy of the COO CIB and COO GFS departments as well as the regional strategy of the APAC CIB platform ensuring a strong partnership with his peers, business and central function stakeholders in the region and globally
  • Responsible for ensuring that APAC business operations & technology services are conducted with a safe and efficient manner, with proper management of resources, customer satisfaction, in compliance with rules & regulations
  • In sync with local CEO & global COO strategies, in charge of driving the transformation of the operating model, pushing digitalization, industrialization & reaching a high level of automation, defining and implementing the best location strategy to maximise synergies & risk mitigations
  • Responsible for supporting the global & local business strategy, growth and client expectations
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems.
  • Privileged interface between all departments in Asia and in Paris on all operations-related issues, new products and new activities processes.
  • Being a member of the Executive Committee Board, the incumbent will give advice and support to the Asia EXCO and Global Business Heads on key business initiatives.
  • As the COO CIB management committee member as well as member of the COO GFS strategic committee globally, he / she contributes to the definition & implementation of the global COO GFS and COO CIB Strategies, on Operations, Technology & Corporate Real Estate, he / she is responsible to lead transversal objectives on behalf of COO CIB and COO GFS entities
  • Constantly remains knowledgeable of market and industry trends and competitors to adapt the strategy.
  • Required Skills :

  • Must have a minimum of 15 years of strong operational experience
  • Demonstrated experience in CIB environment with previous experience overseeing operations and IT, both on Financing and market activities
  • Proven experience in transforming operating models, ideally by having held project management and operational management functions.
  • Knowledge about the APAC markets is definitely a plus
  • Capacity to challenge status quo, to reboot, think out of the box, to drive deep organizational, technical & cultural changes
  • Flexible and able to multi-task; can work within a fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions;
  • demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems

  • Sensitive to risk & compliance & able to interact with regulators
