4. Job Purpose Statement

This position will support the Retail Planning team in all areas of process support with an emphasis on report generation, analytics, and data management.

This position will develop Retail Allocation skills and knowledge that will support career growth.

5. Role Responsibilities ( Do )

The Retail Allocator is responsible for :

  • Completing analytics and other tasks to help Planning by : Supporting the development of the allocation planMonitoring store stock levels and sales trends through reporting and analyticsCompleting analytics to support balancing stock within stores and across channels as neededReviewing production order status to understand inventory status issues (overstocks, late deliveries, short shipments) and potential impacts and raise concernsReviewing inventory to ensure support of seasonal marketing initiatives
  • Setting and maintaining data in SAP and POS systems and databases
  • Generating reports from SAP, BI and the POS system
  • Creating ad-hoc SAP and BI reports based on detailed knowledge of data fields and definitions
  • Creating ad-hoc Excel files and pivot tables to support analytics
  • Completing analytics and identifying opportunities and actions based on the results
  • Communicating with Retail Buying, Marketing and Retail Operations teams on inventory issues or needs
  • The Retail Allocator will also :

  • Participate in store visits (internal) and competitor market visits (external) to understand retail trends and consumer needs
  • Attending meetings as appropriate to learn new skills and increase business knowledge

  • Good analytical skills and attention-to-detail to analyze and interpret high amount of data and determine the implications
  • Basic to intermediate skills in numerical and quantitative analysis
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Good time management skill with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
  • Good organizational skills to complete course of action in a structured, organized and efficient manner
  • Good communication skills to facilitate resolution of allocation issues
  • Good teamwork and collaboration with cross functional teams and with all levels of employees
  • Interest in continuously learning by actively seeking opportunities to increase knowledge and new skills
  • Retail and product exposure to key markets in Asia preferred
