The Opportunity

Manulife is embarking on a multi-year journey to build a Global Performance Marketing Shared Service Center of Excellence (CoE) which will fuel our bold ambition to become a Digital Customer Leader.

The function brings together Marketing Technology (MarTech) and Demand Generation (Demand Gen) a comprehensive, full-funnel approach designed to drive tailored customer journeys powered by connected data, that when integrated raises brand awareness, drives quality traffic, generates leads, secures sales, and fosters brand loyalty.

As a Director, MarTech Lead Asia, you're responsible for leading a team of manager and specialists supporting the implementation and maintenance of all digital analytics data collection for one of Manulife’s corporate segments.

Collaborate with digital product stream owners, digital channel owners, marketing and technology leads to ensure proper integration of our marketing technology stack and data capture framework.

Own the integration of the data collection framework, its data orchestration and reporting infrastructure to support our business objectives.

Partner with IT / technology on the continuous development process of enhancements made on our digital properties. Partner with marketing leaders Drive efficiencies across the organization and contribute to improve processes, standards, and practices for all business units.

We are looking for someone with :

Experience, skills, and competencies :

Ability to articulately communicate technical concepts to non-technical partners. You must be both impeccably articulate and empathetic in your communications

Experience implementing new marketing technologies for a large and / or regulated company

Experience representing and delivering business outcomes of technology projects

Experience with measurement and analytics of marketing campaigns, including digital advertising

Experience working across the product lifecycle

Strong organizational, communications, and time management skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively and work under pressure of deadlines

Qualifications and experience required

Bachelor’s degree ideally in technical field (computer science, engineering, etc.) or relevant experience.

6+ years of hands-on marketing and / or product management experience with a focus on the marketing technology underpinning a modern performance marketing organization

Excellent oral and written English language communication and presentation skills

Nice to Haves :

Strong knowledge of JS, XML, HTML and CSS, or mobile app development.

Advanced knowledge and experience with tag management systems (DTM, Adobe Launch, Google Tag Manager, Tealium, Ensighten, etc.)

Experience with digital analytics debugging tools, as well as data layer definition and maintenance

Hands-on experience creating, maintaining implementation design documents (SDR or similar)

Adobe Analytics and related Adobe Experience cloud tools expertise

Member of online subject matter communities such as #measure on slack, stackoverflow, etc.

On the job you will :

Partner with product team to understand and map customer journeys which can be serviced via seamless cross-channel marketing and communications

Partnering with technical resources to guide development of tools that solve the needs of marketing associates and customers

Support the implementation roadmap and on-going maintenance of digital analytics tools for upcoming and existing digital properties

Work closely with business stakeholders across the firm to define implementation requirements, functional / tagging specification documents and maintain implementation design documentation and data dictionaries

Collaborate with IT (Information Technology) on continuous development work and closely align initiatives on our web properties

Support reporting and campaign orchestration efforts across business lines within the segment

Experience recruiting world-class talent in line with our expectations of rich diversity and inclusivity

Serve as a thought leader across Manulife / John Hancock and lead in global communities of practice outside of our organization to foster innovation in a fast-evolving digital landscape
