Source & / or develop products according to enquiries or proactively, develop new suppliers in Asia (mainly China, Vietnam and Southeast Asia)
Compare offers, check samples and provide comparison and comment to buyers & to internal Key Account Management
Negotiate with suppliers for better prices & terms
Follow up projects from sampling till order shipment
Work closely with Key Account, buyers, suppliers and various departments to ensure completion of works against expectation, e.
g. packaging artworks, instruction manual, test reports, customer complaints, quality issues, order delivery, etc.
Plan and organize business trips for buyers, preparing trip itineraries and setting up visit appointments
Visit potential suppliers & factories, trade fairs to gather market / product information, identify possibilities and make recommendations to buyers
Go on business trips with buyers or own travelling is required (mainly China, Vietnam and Southeast Asia).
F.5 or above
Min 3 years of working experience
Solid experience in product sourcing for the European market (various product categories)
Knowledge of factory operation
Familiar with EU test standards
Independent, self-motivated, detail oriented with common sense
Fast learner, can work under pressure
Sound communication & presentation skill, both in English & Chinese
Fluent English, Cantonese & Mandarin
Experience with tools, power tools and hardware would be an advantage.
