Assistant Finance Manager (Payment)

  • Report to the Associate Director of Finance, and be responsible in the daily management and supervision of the Payment Team with the following areas : Payment and Account Payables Staff Disbursement Student Activities Payment Research Project Accounting / Reporting Payment estimation and plan for cashflow forecast
  • Motivate the Team for success, as well as integrate collaboration and customer-service oriented behaviors, initiate best practices for efficient and effective workflow and process automation;
  • Provide system support on Oracle Financials, and lead the teams for system upgrade and migration;
  • Prepare timely regular and ad-hoc reports and analyses to support management decisions; and
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
  • Requirements

    A good honours degree in Accounting / Finance / Business or related disciplines, with at least 10 years’ relevant experience preferably in universities / NGOs / sizable organizations and including 5 years in supervisory role.

  • A qualified accountant and / or member of recognized professional accounting bodies; sound knowledge of purchase card / credit card payment and latest internet / cloud-based payment solutions;
  • excellent communication skills with good command of English and Mandarin; being self-initiative with outstanding leadership skills, and able to take a hands-on approach whenever required;
  • strong analytical skills with out of the box thinking; being service-oriented, and a mentor to assure best practices for service provision;
  • ability to work independently and in a team, and build partnerships with various departments are required.

    Proficiency in PC skills, experience in Oracle Financials / other ERP system and the implementation of large-scale payment solution / improvement project would be an advantage.

  • Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract;
