As a member of our Global Category Management community you’ll be in charge of the performance of the category in the region (Australia, Hong Kong & Macau, China, Korea, Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore).
You’ll adapt and implement regional brand and commercial plans to the needs of the countries in order to maximize efficiencies and regional cooperation with operations and brands and to ensure delivery of sales, margins and incomes.
Your main responsibilities
Define commercial plans for countries under scope, in line with the category’s global strategy and brand plans as well as the country operations requirements
Ensure implementation of these commercial plans and monthly / quarterly follow up with the countries
Support as required in global negotiation with vendors, lead regional negotiation with vendors
Support brand & product team in assortment management of global brands listed in region and ensure assortment productivity for countries under scope
Daily / weekly / follow up of sales and margin and design of corrective actions
Manage advertising income as per agreed budget. Responsible for reviewing and delivering the regional bonus target
Propose and negotiate store layouts for countries under scope
Responsible for category strategy and responses for tenders under regional scope
Support the responsible Cluster in strengthening relationships with airports (category strategy, ad hoc meetings, etc.)
Coordinate buying for local brands portfolio : terms negotiations, assortment management, buying spaces.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related discipline and / or MBA
10 years of work experience in the retail industry in beauty category management
Excellent negotiations and business development skills
Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Project management expertise with experience in leading projects in international environments with multi-cultural teams
Energetic personality, reliable and self-driven with can-do attitude
Leadership skills and ability to engage and motivate team members to high performance
Good influencing skills with ability to build effective relationships with various stakeholders at all levels
Strong communication skills with fluency in English a must, any other language an advantage
