How you will contribute :
To be an intellectual leader within The EIU and to deliver the regional analysis for the Asia region.
To work collaboratively with other senior EIU staff members to support new initiatives.
To manage the Asia team effectively and to attract and develop high calibre staff.
To contribute to the commercial success of the Country Analysis business.
To preserve the integrity of the Economist brand in line with its founding principles.
To ensure that the quality of our editorial output, both written and numerical, meets the high standards expected by our clients.
To proactively make whatever changes are necessary to support this objective.

Managing a cost budget associated with the teams (including contributor costs and travel costs).
Experience, skills and professional attributes
The ideal skills for this role are :
Experience in managing an editorial operation in an international environment.
Experience in producing economic forecasts and analysis on both developed and emerging economies.
Strong editorial skills.
Experience of working collaboratively with other senior stakeholders and balancing their competing requirements.
Broad knowledge of political and economic trends.
A proven ability to convey ideas and opinions coherently and with authority.
A willingness to develop your external profile in a manner that aligns with our commercial goals.
The ability to build positive relationships across the editorial team and the wider business, and works co-operatively to ensure the best overall result for the EIU.
Strong leadership skills - an ability to inspire and motivate individuals, but also to build and shape teams so they can deliver on business objectives.
