Role & Responsibilities :

Training Strategy and Execution

  • Alongside the APAC Sales Director and Head of Global Education, lead the unlocking of the specialist / franchise education model including cast engagement, performance, and brand love by delivering a seamless strategy and activity plan including (gratis utilisation, optimised regionalised resources, country specific training plans, train the trainers)
  • Lead the creation of APAC Brand training strategies, working with key stakeholders including Head of Global Education
  • Deliver Brand education via the digital tools and resources available to upskill Point of Sale teams
  • Develop and deliver Progression Training in collaboration with Head of Global Education, adapted for APAC
  • Coach the Point-of-Sale teams (direct or distributor led) on Customer Service, sales techniques and product knowledge to improve performance
  • Drive a consumer recruitment and retention strategy to grow a loyal consumer base
  • Lead the implementation of the strategy coupled with an annual activity roadmap which reflects all wholesale partner and retailer specific activities to achieve and exceed brand awareness and performance objectives, including retail KPIs and data capture
  • Ensuring the consistent roll out of NPD and skincare training, provided by the global teams across all countries, cast and retailers including follow up
  • Ensure all newly hired Consultants receive quality training within first 30 days of hire
  • Maintain an understanding of training trends, developments, and best practices
  • Maintain a training calendar and range of training materials for markets
  • Deploy a wide variety of training methods and ensure that market-specific and cultural needs are met
  • People Management

  • Outline clear objectives and priority for the function, ensuring all relevant individuals understand and embrace their role in delivering the wider strategy and performance goals
  • Work alongside the APAC Sales Director to unlock a robust people plan for the region to optimise engagement and performance across the entire retail population
  • Cultivate a superior service culture focusing on the consumer as our #1 priority. Inspire, motivate, educate and coach Point of Sale Management on all elements of Consumer Service
  • Train, coach and develop Point of Sale Managers in both retail and wholesale environments. Conduct required performance reviews and appraisal based on performance goals and KPI’s
  • Act as a role model and senior brand ambassador with regards product knowledge, brand standards, personal grooming and sales expertise
  • Inspire and motivate relevant teams of wholesale partners, dedicated education and field teams as well as all retail staff
  • Sales and Budget Management

  • Play a pivotal role in setting and achieving sales and profitability targets for the entire area
  • Lead Point of Sale Management to achieve their target through regular and impactful communication that engages and inspires
  • Ensure that all educational costs and requirements are in line with yearly department budget and proposed budgets meet the needs of the business
  • Key Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong and meaningful relationships with key personnel at retailers and wholesale partners
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of surrounding competition, omni-channel initiatives, market trends, demographics and consumer needs / behaviours / reactions, ensuring relevant commercial feedback is provided to key stakeholders
  • Maintain strong relationships with all regional education leaders, to ensure regular feedback and revision of global materials and cultural relevancy of curriculum
  • Support events as required
  • Reporting into APAC Sales Director, with a dotted line to Head of Global Education

  • You Also Have :

  • Proven experience in building training plans to deliver growth within speciality as well as general retail across different markets
  • Experience working within Beauty / Premium Retail highly advantageous
  • Innovative approach to training methodology; familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
  • Experience of researching, implementing and managing digital solutions for learning
  • Ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead a cross-functional group
  • Advanced organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects, deadlines and priorities; ability to create structure and process, whilst working within ambiguity and at pace
  • Independent, pro-active and self-starter approach
  • Positive can-do’ attitude
  • NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy preferred but not mandatory
  • Willing to travel extensively
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Excellent Mandarin and English written and verbal skills, another Asian language is a plus
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate proof of their right to live and work in Hong Kong
